With white, leaving a tail about 18 inches (45cm), Cast on 19 sts
Work 1x1 rib for 4 rows
Change to red, knit st st for 20 rows
Push 10 sts opp. End to carriage into hold plus 1 nearest carriage to hold. (Set machine to hold). *Knit 1 row. Pull the last needle knitted to hold*
Repeat from * to * until 3 sts remain in working position.
**Push the last st held to W.P, Knit 1 row** Repeat until 10 plus 1 sts in hold. Release holding button and knit across all sts. Knit 14 rows. Run yarn through sts and pull up tight for toe.
Sew up side seam.
Crochet chain with white tail end to form hanger, or do a 2 stitch cord instead of a crocheted chain.
If you only have a single bed machine, do the 4 rows of rib by hand then put on machine.
